“I’m Not Scared, Not Giving Up or Holding Back”-Alex Garcia

After almost a one year break, Alex Garcia, a fighter from Team Top Notch returns to the cage to fight at Total Fight Challenge against Team No Comment’s Cesar Ordorica.

Garcia last fought at Fight Card Entertainments Massacre 2012 event at the Sports Zone in Melrose Park. He defeated Bret Hedrington by TKO in 0:55 seconds of Round 1.

Since then, Garcia said he has been going to school full-time and began working part-time at a local fitness gym.

“I took this fight about three months ago and since then I have been training my ass off. I also do my off time at LA Fitness because that’s where I work now. So I’m getting double the workout, at LA Fitness and Top Notch,” said Garcia.

Opponent: Ordorica
Although Garcia said that he doesn’t know too much about his opponent, he is confident that he is well prepared for this fight.

“I don’t know too much about him but I know he’s a game opponent so it’s going to be a good fight for me to show people what I can do. This fight against Cesar will be a good fight to showcase more. I’ve grown a lot as a person, I’m now 15 yrs old like when I first started. I’m a lot mentally stronger which is the most important thing coming into this fight. I’m physically strong and I’ve been training hard. I’m mentally stronger which is going to make the difference in this fight,” said Garcia.

Game Plan
One of the differences in this fight, according to Garcia is that his game plan is going to come together a lot smoother because he feels that he is a whole new fighter.

“My mentality is different. I’ve grown a lot. I don’t know what to expect but I trust and believe in myself to show what I can do and what I’ve been training for.  The work is done, now it’s time to go out there perform and have fun,” said Garcia.

Satisfied that there were no problems with cutting weight for this fight, Garcia said that he has been working twice as hard on his conditioning.

“I’ve been doing more weights, swimming, running, added it all up and got my training in. I feel a lot better than before,” said Garcia.

“As a fighter, you never know what you’re going to get but I’m going in there and going after the win.  I’m going to give constant pressure from bell to bell. I’m not giving up. I’m not quitting and I’m not holding back. I’m not scared, I’m just going to go out there and do what I do best,” said Garcia.

Final Thoughts
“I want to thank my mom, team Top Notch, my training partners, my sponsors, all my fans and friends who have helped me get to this point. It’s all coming together and I cant wait to showcase,” ended Garcia.
